Sharing

Starting with v5.x of MilGPS, you can import and export points in the GPX file format. This format is widely supported so you can share with others using other GPS units or apps.

To share multiple points:

• Go to the points screen (Overlays -> choose overlay).
• Press the edit button and select points
• Press export. An email with the GPX file will appear.

To share a single point:

• Open the point detail screen for that point
• Scroll down and press the “Export point” button
• An email with the GPX file will appear.

To import points:

• Find the email with the attached GPX file.
• Press and hold on the GPX file
• Choose open in MilGPS
• MilGPS will open and a new overlay will be created with the imported points. A confirmation alert will appear.

Note that only waypoints can be shared at present. If there is route or track information in your GPX file it will be ignored.
