Troubleshooting Compass Issues

The following troubleshooting steps should be followed in order, opening Context Camera in between each step to see if it worked.

  1. Ensure that you are in an area free of strong magnetic fields (avoid large metal objects and active transmitters).
  2. Open up the default iOS compass app and verify that the compass is working.
  3. Ensure that Context Camera has access to your current location at Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services.
  4. Ensure that system compass calibration is enabled at Settings -> Privacy -> Location Services -> System Services -> Compass Calibration
  5. Ensure that the compass calibration screen is enabled at Context Camera Settings -> Compass Calibration.
  6. Reboot your device.
  7. Email for support if it still isn’t working.
