Where are my Photos Stored?

Context Camera 3.6+

Context Camera 3.6+ introduces “Automatic Exports” instead of a “Photo Storage” setting. You can view and edit automatic export settings via Settings -> Automatic Exports.

All photos taken by Context Camera are initially saved to internal storage. Once that has occurred, any automatic exports you have defined will be carried out. To configure Context Camera 3.6+ to save your photos directly to the Photo Library without keeping an internal copy of the photo (like earlier versions of the app), you need to create an export photo action and set the delete from internal storage switch to on.

Context Camera 3.0.0 - 3.5.3

Starting in Context Camera v3.x, you can choose to store your photos inside the app or in your device’s photo library via the Settings -> Photo Storage Screen.

Photos you have taken will be stored in one of two locations depending on this setting. You can freely change between storage locations without losing any photos, but changing this setting won’t automatically copy photos between storage locations.

If you can’t find your photos in one location, try looking in the other. Once you have found and dealt with your photos you can change your photo storage setting back to your preferred option.

Accessing photos stored internally

Photos you have taken with the photo storage option set to internal will be stored inside the app. To view them, ensure the app is in internal storage mode and go to the gallery by tapping the thumbnail button on the main camera screen.

You can edit, share and export your photos to your photo library from this screen. To export photos to your photo library, tap the select button, tap the photos you want to export, then tap the export button and choose the “Save to Photo Library” option.

Accessing photos stored in your photo library

Photos you have taken with the photo storage option set to photo library will be stored in your device’s photo library. There are two ways to view them:
