MilGPS Privacy Policy

This policy details the information we (Cascode Labs Pty Ltd) collect through your usage of MilGPS, and how we use it.

Information We Collect

By default, out of respect for your privacy, we don't collect any information about you. You may, however, explicitly choose to share more information with us.

If you enable analytics

MilGPS 6.4.1 and later do not collect any analytics data. Users of older versions are encouraged to update to the current version or disable analytics via the Settings screen.

If you enable analytics, we collect information including, but not limited to:

• information about your device and OS (version, identifiers, language and country settings, jailbreak status, IP addresses, timestamps)
• information about the version, build and performance of MilGPS
• information about your use of MilGPS (including when and how long you use the app for, the settings that are in use, how often you use specific features, and aggregate information about your waypoints and overlays, such as how many you have)
• detailed information relating to any crashes that occur (including the physical location of a device when a crash occurs)

We make use of crash reporting and analytics software that forms part of Fabric by Twitter. Specifically, we make use of the Crashlytics and Answers modules.

Other than in the case of a crash, we don't collect your precise location (and we'd turn that off if we could). We never collect specific details about your waypoints/overlays such as their name or location.

If you use Google Maps

If you choose to use Google Maps as your map source within the app then the services and software used to display these maps may collect information about you. Please refer to the Google Privacy Policy for more information.

If you use Apple Maps

If you choose to use Apple Maps as your map source within the app then the services and software used to display these maps may collect information about you. Please refer to the Apple Privacy Policy for more information.

If you send us information

We collect information that you choose to send us by emailing us or signing up for our mailing lists. This includes your email address, name and other information that you provide.

Information Usage

We use the information we collect to improve the app and for customer support.

In general, we don't share information we collect with others. There are some exceptions:

• We may share information with service providers we use to provide functionality. For example, we share analytics with our analytics provider as detailed above, and mailing list signups with our mailing list provider.
• We may share information where required by law.
• We may share information to deal with safety risks, fraud/abuse, and violations of our policies, or in order to protect our rights and property.
• If we are acquired, collected information may be part of the transferred assets.

Security

We employ reasonable security measures to protect collected information.

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time.
