The map screen shows you a map of your current surrounds. You can scroll the map to a location of your choosing. Your waypoints are visible on the map, and you can view an MGRS/UTM grid overlay with grid labels.
To change map related settings, press the settings button in the lower left corner. See map settings screen for further info.
The crosshairs location is shown in the bottom right corner. Shown beneath the crosshairs location is:

.These features can be used to plan routes or to fill out navigation data sheets.
Your points are shown on the map. Point names will appear as the map is zoomed in. To see more information about a point, tap it. Only the cross and surrounding circle is sensitive to touches. A point is selected when it is tapped, and its location and distance/bearing from your current location will be displayed. To view further details about the point, tap the point again. The point detail screen will appear.
To deselect a point, tap elsewhere in the map.
