The settings screen contains a number of app-wide settings.
Turn this on to prevent the screen dimming or the device from locking while using MilGPS.
Choose from the following formats:
Ensure you are aware of your UTM location format if using UTM as it is easy to get confused between “S” for southern hemisphere and latitude band “S”.
Metric, imperial or nautical.
Metres or feet.
Degrees or mils.
True north, grid north or magnetic north.
An alert will appear when you are this distance from your waypoint.
Note that there is a 20m reset distance to prevent repeat alerts. For example, if your arrival indication distance is set to 100m, and you get an alert, you will not receive another alert until you have been 120m away.
Short MGRS grids can be interpreted as either the SW corner of the square they represent, or the centre of that square.
For example, if you enter a grid of 123 123 (100m x 100m square) that will be interpreted as:
Note that waypoints internally are stored in lat/lon format so this setting only applies at the time a waypoint is created or edited.
